What would you guys recommend, the cutout or a tbe, any loss of power with the cutout?

youll have a little more power with the cutout if the welds are perfect.. not ghetto stuff.... and quicker spool...

i personally didnt want to listen to an exhaust 24/7 so i went with the jegs cutout and race ready electric unit also from jegs and megan racing dp... better than a tbe for 325..

i like the stock muffler! but if i were to do a tbe i would do the turbo xs... i like the sound and have gottan realllly close to ordering it a couple times.

I am not a fan of cutouts as they tend to leak over time...definitely the best bang for buck though...

search around here and u'll see that the electronic ones tend to fail overtime in terms of opening the flap...manual ones u have to manually adjust so it's a pain IMHO, can't have power on the fly

also there's nothing that guides the airflow into the cutout...so some of the airflow will still go back to the muffler even when the flap is open on the cutout...

also considering how rich our cars run near redline, u dont want flames to shoot out under ur car, that could really cook some sh*t up and screw things up for u...

go TBE.

Cut-outs will tend to leak and have issues over time, as others mentioned here. They tend to rattle when closed as well, which may drive you nuts.

You don't install a cutout for the sound, ya know.
