Ask Scott at TTP if they are a waste. He seems to make good improvents with gears. Having them SET correctly can get you decent HP numbers in his testing. Some of his guys can attest to it.

the only real benefit i've seen is being able to slightly manipulate the power curve to where you'd prefer, peak power usually isn't improved a ton. and like i said, my main gripe is the damage they can cause to the engine if they slip, the ends just don't justify the means TO ME. other people can do as they please, i was just giving my opinion from my personal experience.

Well you can only use one on the exhaust cam, so none really, all cam gears offer is the ability to move your powerband around a little bit. If I was gonna get cam gears, which I probibly will when I get cams, just for that bling bling under the hood, they will be the blue findanza.

AEM, Unorthodox both fit without issue, as does HKS
cam timing can have HUGE affects on the power curve - but like anything else, it takes the right combo of parts and the right person doing the tune for those affects to be noticeable.

Pay attention on Piper's
* The ultra lightweight pulley is a full TEN GRAMS lighter than HKS'
*As an option for high performance race engines they offer hard anodised vernier pulleys
