About LSD
I have a 2003 evo 8 GSR
The transfer case making noise after a track day
so i bring it to Road Race Engineering , they test drive my car and tell me that my differental was blew , so i will have to replace it with a open differental or a LSD.
I want to know which brand make a LSD for my Evo , and i have seen that there is a buyer selling some Used JDM LSD , i ask the seller if the item fit my car
he said he is 99% sure the LSD will work becasue he sell a lot to USA.
So can anyone let me know if this gonna fit ??
thank you

Probibly will work, but why get that when you can get a carbonetics LSD, quaiffe LSD, or an OEM mitsu LSD for a little more and save all the headaches of used parts. Not to mention, that is just the LSD that is installed INSIDE of the transfer case which you blew out. You are still gonna need to get the T-Case rebuilt, or, in the worst case scenerio, its unrepariable, and you are gonna need to buy a new one, which will probibly run you around 3k for a new one. Good luck.
Thats a nice piece. It is in fact a real JDM helical LSD but are you sure its what you need?
Call the shop back up and ask then exactly which bits you need for sure and what bits you MAY need.
If it were my car I would want to go to someone who does a lot of work on performance EVOs (RRE should fit the bill) as setting up the gears are often more important than the parts themselves. They are also likely to get the car fixed faster and once which may cost a little more up front but if it lasts, who cares if its a few bucks more?

The one you need looks like this http://www.teamrip.com/SPECIALS.htm. The one on ebay does not look like that so I am not sure if it will fit, but I have been seeing that same diff up for about 6 months now and no one has bought it.
