The tip of the spark plug broked, need opinions?

as the title says the tip of the spark plug broked and this was the OEM sparks, ive never changed them they have 16500miles.
what concerns me is that a piece of the tip went inside the engine what do guys think of this?? is it something to worry about?
here is a picture of it you wont see it very clearly but just so that you guys know how much it broked.
this happend using racegas vp109 and 26psi of boost, after a run the car started to hesitate or sputter all through the rpm range and the engine check light came on i readed the code and it was missfire on cylinder#4 which is where this broked plug was, so i changed them out use the OEM ones again and cleared the codes and the engine know runs smooth again.
so please give me your opinions on this iam concern that this little piece of metal got in my engine and ruin something
thanks!

Looks like a normal plug to me...I only get about 15k out of my cooler plugs also...

Here is a pic of typical plug problems:

If it broke, it should still be on top of the piston. I don't think it would get past the rings. Might try one of those those pen type magnet, that extend and see if you can stick it thru the spark plug hole, and see what comes out.

If it did, then the damage is already done. Couldn't hurt to stick a magnet down there and see what it collects. Or scope it and see if there is any damage.

probably a dent in the piston... of it it got stuck on the sides. i nice gash will build up.. then youll have real problems..

i would try the magnet thing... if you get nothing and have the time and really do care, that maybe take it apart and see what you can find. compression test to make sure its working right if you dont want to dismantle the motor

good luck!

I would definetly try the magnet. Get that piston up top and give it a try. I doubt if it has disentigrated because its made to take the heat of the combustion chamber.

not to freak you out, but if you continue to get broken / bent electrodes, your piston maybe coming apart around the edge of the crown.

I know that happened to a guy who ran high boost, gas/meth.

if the porcelin broke, it probably went through the engine....like a piece of corn goes through most people, un-noticed!

Magnet ???

This piece got sucked in thru the exhaust valve. You won't find that piece in there. It's probably somewhere down the road when it got spitted out the exhaust.

I doubt that little piece damaged anything. But to make sure I'd do a compression check and turbine blades on the turbo if your up to it.

Ok look at the plug tip, its a stock iridum correct? All iridum plugs have a much smaller pointy tip. Compared to standard plugs. From what I see all is normal probly just fouled. When my stockers all came out they all looked like that.
