02 sensor plug size???

02 sensor plug size???

just got the ams catback for my 9

-what size is the oxygen sensor plug that i need?
-i searched and found 18mm or m18by1.5 bolt
-does anyone know if there right?

I had to go to the junkyard and pull an old sensor off a motor that was laying around. Couldn't get a plug anywhere. I even started a thread about it. You can cut the sensor apart and just use the plug part, so it doesn't look stupid with this giant sensor sticking out.

go to any auto parts store and buy a drain plug for a tranny that fits. I beleive its 21 pt and not sure on the thread pitch. any auto parts store should be able to tell you the thread pitch for an 02 sensor.

You're right.
18x1.5 is the correct size of the thread pitch for O2 sensors.

my bad. I meant 18. When I put 21pt. I meant that you use a 21 pt wrench to take it off. that size and thread pitch is a common bolt found in any auto parts store. tranny plugs are that size

But it's actually a 22mm or 7/8 wrench.
