Evo IX MR Oil Drain Plug Crush washer

Want to change my oil and forgot to get crush washers. Wanted to run to pep boys or advanced auto to get some. Anyone know the size? The MR drain plug is a bit different than the non MR plug i think. MR plug has the sensor in it. Thanks everyone.

I've never used a crush washer on my MR. I have ~72K miles and have done probably 20 oil changes. Never noticed any abnormal oil build-up at the bottom of my pan or any leaks where I park it.

Had a 4g63 DSM turbo and drove it into the ground. Then got a an Evo and I am in the process of doing the same to it. I have never bought a crush washer and I have never had a leak.

Two responders to this thread don't use a crush washer on their oil drain plug. Are they trying to save money, or what? Shame on you dudes.

The ones that come with the oil filters don't fit properly on my drain plug (that's what she said).

The car came with a crush washer - I didn't say I didn't use one. If you look at any of the gear cases you will find that the fill and drain plugs have flat washers. Do they leak? I have a couple of hundred thousand miles experience driving behind a 4G63 engine and have never seen a reason to change the crush washer. Its just an unnecessary detail as far as I am concerned.

I heard of a guy who used Pledge on his undercarriage to keep the underside looking like new. To each his own.
