i wanted to know what kind of evo model, year dose the 20g turbo come on. Also what are the numbers on the turbo itself.

 

None, Its an aftermarket turbo. Evo comes with 16g

 

I don't think any evo comes with a 20G turbo. It's an upgrade from turbochargers.com, turbokits.com, buschur and so on. It's an aftermarket, not OEM.

Maybe the FQ-400 cause they run on different turbo then the normal Evo.

 

NO evos come stock with a 20G.

 

There are 6 different 20g's, and none came on any Evo in stock form.

tryed searching and some people told me that a 20g came on an evo 9 thats why i was asking to clear up my confusion

Don't sweat it. People around here were commonly referring to the OEM Evo IX Turbo as a 20G. Two companies(Buschur Racing and Forced Performance) came out with a "true" 20G/EvoGreen upgrade which is what everybody refers to now as an Evo 20G. Seems to be a good turbo, I will let you know if Forced Performance ever ships mine.

 

No, that is not true. What you fail to realize is that the 20g is a stock IX turbo that has been modified. You just didn't understand what people were really saying. The only TRUE 20g is the one made by Turbotrix (not BR/FP) that uses a TD06 housing and is WAY BIGGER than the rest of the 20Gs on the market that all are in a 16g TD05 housing with a 20g wheel inside. No one that knows anything says that the IX has a 20g. What they say is that it's a IX-20G - that doesn't mean the IX has a 20g, it means the 20g is made from a IX turbo. Got it now?

Here's the list of 20Gs:
- 20g-8 (VIII turbo with 20g wheel)
- 20g-9-6 (IX turbo with 6-blade 20g wheel)
- 20g-9-6 Ti (IX turbo with 6-blade 20g wheel and Ti/Al internals)
- 20g-9-5 (IX turbo with 5-blade 20g wheel)
- 20g-LT (IX turbo with more changes - current hot turbo from BR/FP)
- True 20g (TD06 20g that requires a DSM manifold - not a bolt-on turbo)

The best of that bunch is the 20g-lt followed by the 20g-9-5.

I'm sorry, but you are once again wrong. The vendor you are talking about is selling EVO9 turbos that have been modified by installing a "20G" compressor wheel. They are NOT calling stock EVO9 turbos 20G's.

Whether anyone says "20G9" or "EVO9 20G", they are still talking about a modified stock turbo with the larger compressor wheel.
