Why would someone buy such a turbo kit and then run it on CA 91 octane gas is a mystery to me?

Are your 1000 injectors scaled properly?

You might want to have Andy tune your car. Everyone around here raves about his work.
His white car (evoVIII) has a 30r and it makes 340-350 on that dyno, I believe.
Good luck!

Do you ever have anything positive to say?

Do you have a tactrix cable so you can log your car. Maybe your car was knock prone and that made the tuner back off the timing and richen the afr. 91 octane is more knock prone than an ex-girlfriend trying to get back into your house

TJ,

I suspect it has to do with your dp, o2 housing, and dumpback wastegate setup. The 02 housing is really small 2.5" with a cheated radius, and the fact that the wastegate dumps back into it means it flows really low.

For the naysayers that suspect my tuning,

This is my Full-Race GT30R EVO8 on 91 pump gas. The bottom end is completely stock. For reference a bone stock EVO 9 makes 234 whp.

Making good power is more than just turbo size, the supporting mods especially when it comes to the exhaust must be optimized to get good results.

Eeeh, something definitely isn't right with the car... It should be making more power than that even on 91 oct and a DD dyno..

Andy,

My intentions were not to discredit your abilities, just to get an outside opinion on my issue.

I forwarded my dyno plots and information to mike welch of road race engeneering... (he's a highly respected dsm/evo tuner), He's also marketing kits with the same manifold and o2 as mine. Obviously he did not discredit the kit, but he also said that his customers with the kit are making much more power than mine with compairable supporting mods....

Please explain how injectors that were unproperly scaled would change power output........ As long as the car is tuned for the proper AFR, the scaling is pretty much useless, You can scale your 1000s as 1200's etc etc but as long as your not running rich (by tuning your fuel table) the scaling doesnt matter....
