Whats next?

My car is my daily driver but I have a spare if need be (90 4spd civic 1.5l lol) I plan on doing some autox this summer and roughly 20-30 passes by the end of summer, so basicly I am looking for a well rounded car when all said and done. My current mods consist of: Helix 3" DP, Helix TP, HKS carbon/ti catback, hks hybrid drop in filter, and works p2 flash. eventually I am going to do either a fp 20green, or 50 trim depending on funds. My next mods are going to be 255walbro, licp, and a reflash. After that whats next? Am I almost ready for cams, or should I look elsewhere first?

i would do the 255 walbro, injectors and cams at the same time so you dont have to flash the computer again after cams

how come no considerations towards suspension? maybe even some stainless brake lines? thats a dirt cheap (relatively speaking) mod that can get you closer to that well rounded car... if not a full coilover, pick up a rear sway and a bushing kit for all the suspension mounting points, and if you can sacrifice some increased NVH, get the engine and tranny mounts

edit: forgot about pump, def grab that, and cams dont hurt, get that curve lookin right

Well I had the hks 2.75DP and a works HFC that I sold and whent catless with the 3" so I need a tune anyways so I figured I would do the licp and pump before I have the tune done in a couple weeks since its only $50 for a reflash from works. I think cams will have to wait for a few paychecks.

As far as suspension goes I just got done installing works springs, rear strut bar, cusco v2 brace, and am going to be doing a rear sway faairly soon. I totally didnt think about the ss brake lines, but i will most likely do those when i get new pads which isnt to far off.

Why is it reccommended to do injectors with the cams? Are stockers maxed out at that point?

you don't need to do injectors till you upgrade the turbo...

as far as the front mount goes, you'll see more gains obviously with both (fmic and cams) on a reflash, but it's not necessarily NEEDED...a better lower ic pipe will help even if you're on the stock front mount.

Full bolt-ons include full exhaust, front mount, lower ic piping, cams, o2 housing, ported/coated manifold, intake, upper ic piping (though this won't do too much), fuel pump, alky if you want, and reflash...forgive me if i forgot anything else. It's usually only AFTER this that an upgraded turbo is recommended.

Yeah I think I am going to hold off on the o2 housing and manifold caause they are both things that could potentialy not work with a turbo upgrade right? Also from what I have read, you dont need a intake unless your running a fairly large turbo. So I think I might hold off on that till I upgrade also.

I thought that way about the intake too, and while that does hold true, I bought a Apexi filter w/maf adapter and I like it alot. Not sure exactly what it did for me in terms of power because I added a few other parts at the sametime. It cost a little over a $100, don't remember exactly. The apexi filter has great filtering and i'm sure added a few ponies, not to mention the sound was nice too

If your not sure of what it did for you in terms of power then what is it you like about it other then the sound

I agree that the sound is sweet but I just took off my air box lid and made some clamps to hold the drop in filter down and it gives the same eff ect

I guess what I said didn't make too much sense, considering some vendors claim their filter kits add 4-5whp and few ft lbs tq, i figured the Apexi' would accomplish this too and the filter test that was done showed this filter to be far superior in filteration then the K&N and HKS, so I opted for this intake system.

I knew it would add a few ponies and my goal is to maximize all I can on the stock turbo and maintain daily driveability. Thats why for me cam's are next.

I def didn't buy it just for the sound and understand that since you took aprt your air box lid you probably already achieved the sound.

Just saying its an inexpensive mod that will net a few ponies.

That's not true due to the fact that if you're converting your 8 turbo (or a 9 for that matter), this bolts back on in the exact same fashion. So this will TOTALLY allow you to run any o2 housing and manifold that works with the stock turbo.

If you're talking about a complete turbo "kit", and not the Evo Green, those supply you with a manifold, downpipe, and o2 housing.

As for your intake, there's a lot of differing opinions out there regarding what it actually does for you, but at bare minimum it gives you a couple of extra whp and a very small amt of torque. you can decide if its worth the money at this stage to upgrade it.

I am "leaning" towards the green but What I would like to do is a 50trim which in that case I would buy a complete kit so Im not exactly sure if I want to spend the time and effort for a o2housing and manifold. I think I am going to just do a maf adapter and filter down the road if I do, do an iintake. I have been considering meth but I dont know a whole lot about it so I havent come to that conclussion yet.
