if you cut a wire on the o2 and it grounded to the body it will blow a fuse! the ecu fuse will blow in order stop your wiring from catching fire! and yes the car would die, crank and crank and not start

I believe the heating element in the o2 sensor is controlled by the ECU and thus the reason when its fuse goes the engine doesn't run.

Anyone willing to confirm this theory?

every part of the o2 runs into the ecu that is how the ecu gets the signal from the o2 other vehicles have sperate fuses for the o2 so the vehicle is still driveable but not the evo
