not to be controversial or anything...

I recently installed a ported/coated stock mani on my IX (OMGWTF ported stocker is the best EVAR!!11!1!), and didn't notice any gains from it at all (granted, I did not install it, get tuned for it, and then immediately re-dyno... )

Could not even notice a increase in spool with it - and believe me, I was looking for it...

After adding up the $200 it takes to get it ported/coated, the $$ for installation (unless you are doing this yourself), and the $$$ for the retune (hopefully you can throw on some other mods as well before the tune) - IMHO, the $$$ could have been better spent elsewhere... that was ~ 3 - 5whp I could have done without.

And before someone says - "but Buschur dyno'd the ported hotside/stock mani/O2 housing to show XXX gains..." I think we all know that the O2 housing is going to make about 80% of those gains.

This is a DSM manifold, not a twin scroll Evo manifold.

It will not work.

You should just get your stock ported and coated.. If you are wanting the looks out of a tubular manifold then you should just get a polished heatshield to go over it.. This way your motor looks better than the stock rusty manifold and you have gained power.. along with not having to worry about cracking a cheap manifold or spending a butt load of money on a good tubular manifold such as the full race one you mentioned.

Shearer, I assume your manifold will be $1000, same as Full-Race?

That's still way too much for ME to spend on a turbo manifold for the stock turbo.

+1 on the P/P stocker.
