Center Diff Wet!

Went under the car and noticed the center diff is oil-wet, though not dripping and the oil is very dry on the metal.. Is this normal after 23,000km (15,000miles)?

Comments please?

Happens on a lot of cars, but 15k miles is really early. If it was mine, and only 15k I'd take it and have it warrantied at a local dealer. You paid good money for a new car and expect it to be right. But until then just check your fluid level and keep an eye on it.

anyways though just get some simple green, spray it on there, and clean that bad boy up, also check your fluids, also maybe try tighten up the bolts around that area, just check them, maybe they are a little loose.. but just keep an eye on it.

50Trim not installed yet!!

Ok, good idea: tighten bolts, clean up and check with time..

And i really dont treat the car that hard! I rarely rarely do hard launches and never really messed the car..

Thanks for comments..

Its just a leaky seal. Be careful tightening the bolts that you don't over tighten them.
