I put on all the other parts 2 days b4 the tune...and drove to my tune with a jester eflash and it wasnt bad for $52.
Saldy the fuel cut was not properly configured so we could not do a base line run to verify the operation of the $52 flash - I guess the fuel cut was overlooked

I can clearly see this turbo as filling the gap of price and performance that we were all use to miss between the stock turbo and all the turbokit (GT35s etc). This turbo is the missing link that was never fully accomplished by the first Evo 8-20G launched nearly a couple of years ago.

It seems like with the proper supporting mods this is a easily 400whp turbo. Thank you soo much for sharing more information about this already succcesful product.

Carlos
Carlos - I concur 100% with your observations here

One thing of note

A customer with the previous Evo 20g 5 bladed version (A/K/A White Rabbit) could only best 360 whp on the same dyno (pump and alchy agressive tune samed day)

This was a car which I tuned a long time ago on the road which i brought in just for a check on the dyno and some minor trims

BTW - that SAE correction really kills a turbo cars power on a cold day - this would have been 385 - 290 uncorrected as the dyno room was ball freezing temps

While the white rabbit sucked IMHO- this Green is a great choice - particularly on alchy or race gas

If you dont like turbo lag and want a shot of power this is a great path

BTW - an aside

In single digit air temps the E Bay fmic is really not properly tested

I have no idea if it works or not but this testing condition was not a good place to draw any conclusions what so ever as the room the dyno was in was so cold my nuts are still frozen

A nice 95 degree summer day would be a better situation to draw any conclusions about the Ebay fmic

Nood1es,

Take care of your spark plug issues and re dyno it. I recently had similar issues a couple of weeks ago. Al suggested my car was misfiring and he was right. I bought a new set of spark plug wires and spark plugs for my Mitsubishi Eclipse and the car pulls really strong now.

Also, don't forget that you can make tremendous amount of torque when using some methanol. Two on my rides are running methanol and the 16G turbos and they are making crazy torque, I can't imagine how much more torque you would make with such FPgreen turbo..

ya, i bought new spark plugs and didnt even bother double checking if they were the right ones b4 going to the tune. I was debating on doing meth or not but just didnt want to risk a chance of meth failure.

You just can't go like that. A failure can occur on any mechanical or electrical component. You can get a turbo hose broken or unpluged and kill your engine under overboost conditions, it only takes a couple of seconds to destroy an engine under those conditions.

That turbo will really shine with the compliment of a methanol kit. I am almost certain you could generate an extra 50lbtq and at least another 20whp(almost guarantied).

That turbo was made to be ran at high boost. Take advantage of your set up and exploit you capabilities by adding a decent methanol kit. The Perrin kit is an excellent unit and Al(Dynoflash) can make your car run very safe and eficient with the proper tune. Listen to the people that ran methanol for a while, Dynoflash wrote an excellent article on the Turbo magazine.

I highly encourage you to get a methanol kit and enjoy the uncovered posibilities of that exceptional turbo.

Carlos

Wow, lots of power on the eBay FMIC. Forgetting that it was cold, do you think it avoided pressure drop?

everyone was saying the dyno was reading really low, an evo8 with 20g and meth made 360/360 or something of that earlier today...one of these days ill probably go to ams's dyno and do a baseline on my 93 map and see what i put down on their dyno. Overall i am happy for what my #"s put down and extremely happy with the turbo, hopefully in april ill see what my traps are... Ill have graphs up sometime tomarrow.

P.S I just wanna say if ne one needs work done, they need to go to P & L Motorsports, i honestly have nothing but good things to say about their work and they will bend over backwards and will help you with w/e u need.
On a dynojet??
i dunno dude i think thats really low!!
