flashed fp green.

Got flashed today by al on P&L's dynojet. Numbers on 93 at 21lbs were 350/340 and on straight 110 at 28lbs they were 389/401. My #'s before were 294/296 with just...ams flash,21lbs, catless tbe on ams's dyno.

Spool is about 200 rpms later, my mods.

fp green ported w/ upgraded actuator
ported ex manifold
rsr full catless tbe
RC 780's
BC 272's
255 fp
ebay ic
blitz intake
act clutch
headstuds
ebay o2housing

everyone was saying the dyno was reading really low, an evo8 with 20g and meth made 360/360 or something of that earlier today...one of these days ill probably go to ams's dyno and do a baseline on my 93 map and see what i put down on their dyno. Overall i am happy for what my #"s put down and extremely happy with the turbo, hopefully in april ill see what my traps are... Ill have graphs up sometime tomarrow.

P.S I just wanna say if ne one needs work done, they need to go to P & L Motorsports, i honestly have nothing but good things to say about their work and they will bend over backwards and will help you with w/e u need.

Are you happy with your choice?

I'd like to see what would happen if you swapped fmic's

Nice gains. I got two questions:
were before numbers on the same dyno?
what was put in at the same time you swapped turbos besides injectors?

TIA

ya i am happy with my #'s and the turbo, and glad i purchased the turbo. No i was on ams's dynojet that put down 294 last year. Before i had my fp green i only had mbc at 21lbs, drop in,tbe and tune. I put on all the other parts 2 days b4 the tune...and drove to my tune with a jester eflash and it wasnt bad for $52.

ID like to the results with a AMS or Bushcur FMIC. Instead of the Ebay.

I dont think it would make much of a difference on a dyno.

Nice numbers, especially with the 110 octane.

that is teh xact mods list that I am going for. How does it drive, smooth and hows the power? Also with those injectors, I am worried about teh weather changing here in michigan, can al tune it so it wont throw a rich or lean code when teh weather drastically changes because this is my DD. I had that problem with my SRT and it sucked.

I said before and I say it again, this turbo is impressing me a lot. It looks like the perfect match for what I want( almost stock like spool up but much better top end).

I can clearly see this turbo as filling the gap of price and performance that we were all use to miss between the stock turbo and all the turbokit (GT35s etc). This turbo is the missing link that was never fully accomplished by the first Evo 8-20G launched nearly a couple of years ago.

It seems like with the proper supporting mods this is a easily 400whp turbo. Thank you soo much for sharing more information about this already succcesful product.

Nood1es,

Just very curious, when you ran the turbo to 28psi with the race gas how much boost were you holding to the red line? How much did it drop?

Thanks!

I think thatll all depend on the tuner and the tune....if you can get a good tuner who can dial in the injector scaling then there really shouldnt be any problems w/ weather changes...

I concur with your observations on the low reading dyno (one stock 8 made 185 whp!) and also with the great experience with P & L - they are a world class facility and they bend over backwards to help the customers - I was really impressed

BTW - how is the driveability and function of the tune in regular driving ?

I - and the guys at P & L were all really impressed with how smoothly and strong your car was - very well wrenched

Sadly we tried to go to 33 psi but the stock spark plugs misfired - that partial pull was at 435 tq and 430 whp before it broke up

28 psi fell down to 25 psi at red line

Its a great little turbo
