fuel pump question
fuel pump question
I had my evo for about 2 months and i just got a exedy stage 2 cluth and grupe-s 10.5 lb flywheel. i just finished breakin the new clutch in and when i went racing i would shift fast and there was some loud noise coming out of the back of the car and when i would shift slow it wouldnt do it, i was wondering if anyonw else has that problem. Later when i got home i was hearing a winy noise from the back left so i thought of the fuel pump, but i didnt think it would be that loud, cause i got out of the car and i can hear it from 15ft away and it does it when im moving and stopped so i dont know what is going on. if anyone knows any helpfull info please tell me cause i cant go to the dealership cause the car is probably out of waranty already.
Thanks
Thanks
Do you have mods? Do you drive a Nissan Altima or Evo IX?
The loud bang in the rear when shifting hard is the driveshaft hitting the rear carrier bearing.
If you have a Walbro fuel pump (don't know, since you didn't list any mods), then it should be pretty loud.
