Exhaust cam timing on EVO IX with aftermarket cams
Hey, guys, i wonder... the Mivec only adjusts the intake cam timing and we see the positive results that it has. The adjustment is made on a steady timing on the exhaust cam. Would it benefit to put an adjustable cam gear on the exhaust cam and change this steady timing? Obviously the intake timing will need to change also.
On the Evo 8s for example retarding or advancing the exhaust cam 2 degrees, what would it do in the power curves?
Has anyone played with these adjustments? I know that this is very technical and needs lots of testing and probably only one of the BIG shops would be able to make such a test in order to see if its worths or not?
Anyone, tried it yet?
