Weird Observation with a not so boost leak.

Alot of people have been telling me, "One reason might be is if your car isnt fully warmed up, it doesnt let it boost all the way" so i took it into consideration, drove the car around until it was fully warmed up.. still my car would taper down to .8 bar. Then I noticed something the very next moring.

I was driving to school, except this time it was a warm day, not fridged cold, and the boost taperd down to 1.2 all the way to red line.

Then tonight when it got cold, i was drivng back home on HW 59 (car is fully warmed up) and it would taper all the way to .7-.8 bar.

I came to the conclusion that tempture has something to do with the amount of boost my car is holding, has this ever been discussed before?

Or maybe another theory, some magical sensor is magicly placed at the wrong place.. not measuring engine tempture, but outside tempture, causing it to let the ECU know the outside cold temp = cold engine.. even if engine is warm.

^ of course that is not it. I was day dreaming while studying Accounting 2 today and thought of that magical theory.

Is there a correlation between outside tempture and tapering boost?

Are you flashed? If not get a flash it should gst rid of some of that taper. Or get a MBC will also get rid of some or that taper.

In my VIII I tend to spike higher boost levels in the cold than I do in the summer time. ie. In the summer i'll be set up for 21psi as soon as it starts getting cold it'll start spiking 24 -25. I simply adjust my MBC to compensate. Has worked in my expierience

Cold air is more dense which equals more boost.
