so this morning i was driving on my way to work and noticed my car was acting weird.....no power at like 2.5-3.5 k so i gave it a few 2nd and low 3rd gear pulls and 1 7k 3rd gear pull... i noticed that i wasnt boosting at all...i was peaking at .6 bar and tapering down to .4 at 7 k with a loud hissing noise....any ideas....

Doesn't that scream boost leak to you?

Maybe a IC hose came partially off or is loose. Pressurize your system to do a boost leak check and find out if you have an issue

Boost solenoid issue prehaps? Could maybe be sticking and cause interesting spiking.

Do you use a MBC? EBC?

It runs from the waste gate over to the boost control solenoid underneath the stock air filter. Should be T'ed off of the intake with the pill on the solenoid side if i can remember correctly.

If the pill is gone usually you don't get more than around 14 psi of boost.

Check your intake snorkle and make sure both clips are holding in down.

The peice that comes out of the top of the airbox and pulls in air from outside. It has two snaps that hold it down and keep it from flopping around. If one of those snaps comes loose it can get sucked up against the hood of the car causing simptons that you are describing.
