Cool ARC Induction Box Pre/Post dyno...

Just got home from GST after testing the ARC Induction Box. We did a pre and post dyno run and the ARC box & tune made +13 WHP and +15 WTQ. Details below...

First run back in November:
Tanabe 2.75 DP
RRE Rally Cat
Vishnu Sig exhaust
Works drop in
Hallman MBC @23psi on 91 octane
Horsepower Freaks LICP
Bryan@GST tune (razorlab) = 293whp/295WTQ (IDC= 98%)

Baseline tune today:
Tanabe 2.75 DP
RRE Rally Cat
Garage HRS exhaust
Works drop in
Hallman MBC @23psi on 91 octane
Horsepower Freaks LICP
Walboro Fuel pump
PTE 680cc Injectors (IDC= 82%)
Bryan@GST tune (razorlab) = 290whp/288wtq (the lower #s might be due to the exhaust or the uber wide tire/wheel combo I am running)

Baseline mods + ARC Induction box = 303WHP/303WTQ

Big props to Bryan@GST for the tune and thanks to Cal@Speedelement for a great deal on the ARC induction box!!! For those of you who arn't familar with this dyno, its a uber-low-reading-heart-breaking Mustang dyno.

PICS!

i have an ARC Intake Also but i also using a dejon pipe and it is great i made 330hp at tuning tech with TBE, DC Mani, ARC Box Only and Apexi Ground Kit. people always ask why i get the ARC box with Dejon Pipe instead of the HKS Sunction Kit ??!??!! "Because Im an ARC *****" so i just got my HKS Sunction Kit and will be doing a PRE/POST Dyno pulls so stay tune

haha, I actually dont give a damn about the ARC brand but rather wanted to compare this box to the stock airbox with dropin filter. But props to ARC for making this intake.

you will definitely see noticeble gains on the hks intake kit. I have gained 8whp with it, and it was used as as an open element setup w/o the Carbon Fiber HKS Kansai Box. And I think with the kansai box, the air temp should lower and gain a bit more. I will have some dyno numbers soon.

Yeah intakes definitely work you just have to tune for them. More air is just that; more air. I was impressed that you hit that gain, it is quite nice and you can see the gain especially in the torque.

I just don't get why you are running larger injectors at this point in mods but that could easily effect your WHP as well.

my IDC (Injector duty cycle) was 98% before I installed injectors. Now they are 82%.

The base run was with the injectors as well, the test run was with adding the ARC box and tuning for it. He had run out of injector with his current mods as he was running 98% DC.

Just installing the box gained approx 6whp/6wtq 3 pulls after installing (let it warm up fully on the 1st and 2nd pulls). Tuning for it gained the additional power. The test run gains where 100% from the ARC box and tuning for it. No other factors.

The install of the ARC box was done on the dyno and took about 10-15mins.

So would an aftermarket intake pipe be beneficial in addition to the ARC box?
