I've got the new OS Giken twin plate racing clutch. Had it in for about 10,000K now and I launch all the time between 7000 and 8000 rpms and have never even felt a hint of a slip. Although thats how twin plates are supposed to driven. Most people baby them and it makes them wear out faster. The driveability is also really surprising. It really doesn't even feel to much stiffer than the stock clutch so your wife or girlfriend can still drive. If you even let them anyway!

I have a car with just about the same turbo as the Evo. When I launch my car at 4500RPM, I have a hard time keeping all 4 tires from going up in smoke.

Just modify the rest of the car, and all your launching bog issues will turn into launching traction issues.

There is no need for nitrous when launching an Evo.

Isn't nitrous designed for delivery at WOT? If so, I don't think that would do much for launch bog. I have never installed/used nitrous before, but based on my understanding (in this application), it might border on the useless/dangerous side. Assuming a cutoff of say 3K rpm, the delivery would still be constant (based on your "shot" size), but a/f would be variable based on throttle position. This sounds dangerous. Is this correct? Further, assuming that it was limited to WOT and < 3K rpm, it would seem that the window of opportunity to actually use it would be non-existent.

Not sure if this is correct. I just didn't see anyone bringing this up and thought I would add my observations.
