advice needed on awd....
advice needed on awd....
I have a mirage 1997 with a evo 5 swap. Well the car is not finished yet but moves a whole lot. Car only weights in at just over 2400 pounds. Thats with no one in it so power to weight is nice but is only FWD right now. Thats where the advice is needed..... .......how hard would you guys think making it AWD be. I figure any complete rear from a evo 5-9 but not sure......
Now i have tried looking and will continue but any info is gratefully accepted or links for that matter.
also here is a link to a mirage with the awd swap so this is where im shooting, with oem fender flares and awd convert.
this guy use to own my car so if you look you will see old pics of my car when it was a 1.8 sohc turbo mirage engine and then swapped......first pages is the other
mirage evo swap with awd.

Hi there- goto http://www.mmc.org.nz/forum/ or http://4g61nz.co.nz/index.php
There are a few people who know how to do the swap of earlier models- so they maybe able to help. We have quite a few people with 1992ish Mirages with evo 1-3 full transplants.
I will be easier than you think- Im currently working on a 1990 Mirage Cyborg Turbo and transplanting a evo1-3 engine. This car came with 4wd so its alot easier. A friend of mine has a Mirage Hatch which he replaced the running gear and engine out of and Evo1- it was a straight bolt-on fit. No fabrication was required.
Make sure you tell them where you are from
Cheers

Well mine is a 1997........the old hatch backs are a whole lot easier to do and so is the 4g mirage because they use the old eclipse awd but with the 5g its alittle bit of a different ball game.
thats why im really looking for someone that is very knowledgeble to give me some advice........
