it could be that you installed the cam shaft positioning sensor bracket 180 degrees out.......its the metal piece on the end of the exhaust cam....
hmmm checked it twice before i buttoned everything up.... if it was a tooth off seems it would barely run right?
would it still idle normal like that???

its wierd that it still idles normal, it has to have something to do with the timing. If it was a tooth of i should run very very crappy. Like some1 said the cam position sensor might be 180 out, but if you check it, you checked it. GL with everything
yeah i mean the car runs excellent off boost.... im starting to wonder if i have a bad fuel pump might try to reinstall the stocker.

sounds like you are off a tooth. happened to me, was getting tuned at shiv's and he noticed the curve dropped off after @4.5k rpm's IIRC. but idled and ran pretty good, just didn't have power up top. double-check your belt/cam gear timing. now, it runs like a champ.
good luck...

Yes!! I had that happen on my Talon years ago. The place that had done warranty work at when I snapped my timing belt did that mistake. The car idled great and ran great off boost, but the full throttle power was way down. My car fell off over 5/10's in the 1/4 mile alone. Check out cam position sensor as rraulston suggests.Originally Posted by rraulston
