The turbo nipple does not connect to the WGA. They both have their own hoses that go to the different ports on the MBC, unless that's what you were trying to say...

warr, read malibu jack's thread and its seems to only work correctly with speed density, so im calling hks to see what can be done, thanks

Calling HKS to see what can be done???? What?

What you do is you get a proper DV that goes with the Evo. This isn't difficult to figure out. What is the infatuation with the HKS SSQV? It's not designed to be used with the Evo. You have no reason to have it and no use for it. Your stock DV is awesome, and it didn't make sense to purchase a UICP with a flange for a Tial, when the UICP gives no gains anyway. Just a lot of wasted money...

Now Im getting some answers out of you, we are making progress. uicp doesnt make a difference, I can understand that. I actually was wondering that same thing, since the stock stuff is lighter and is 2.5" already. your saving me money.

I just do not like the fluttering that the stock dv does, i would like to just have one shot of air between low rpm shifts and that is it. that is the whole reason for a vta bov.

a lot of people on here that have used or are running the ssqv have problems with stalling and "choking." This is because the air that is passing through the MAF has already been registered, and to vent it to the atmosphere, it causes the car to sputter or stall and a loss of power. The system on the evo is a recirculated system in which the air is rerouted into the intake. hope that helps

This is all void if you are running speed density which would allow you to vta

The stock DV doesn't flutter when you let off after boosting. It will only flutter if you drive at part throttle/partial boost then let off slowly instead of a full lift (can't do that). Any strong BOV will do that. The HKS SSQV will also make any flutter of the stock DV seem like child's play.

Do not go off he BOV line if you can help it. One, it causes flutter of your bov under full-boost partial throttle driving (yes I said that right). Sure you can adjust your driving style by you shouldnt have to. Also, having it on the licp close to the turbo outlet allows you to source boost down stream where there are no connections that could in time lead to possilbe boost leaks and you wont have hardly any pressure drop throughout the system when that close to the turbo. BOV is a bad idea IMO. I am changing mine asap!

It doesn't matter how you connect the MBC, you can't drive at part throttle high boost without flutter unless the BOV is weak.

^I dont know. Maybe you can explain why? I know Forge says that you must have independent boost sources for your BOV and MBC to greatly help this issue. I have also read of countless people who switched from the BOV line to a nipple on their LICP and the problem went away. I can also say that at stock boost I had zero issues with my APS BOV but as soon as I put the MBC off my BOV line when I went with a BR LICP I got the flutter. I am going to try a different source to test this myself of course but the car is away till the end of March so the suspense lingers...

It's not a problem, so it doesn't go away. It's just how the boost system works. I use the turbo nipple always, and it's great, but it doesn't magically allow you to drive around at partial boost. You'll see when you try it. It will always flutter if it's a strong BOV, so you just have to learn to drive it differently. I would love to see countless people driving around with a strong BOV trying to accelerate through an entire gear at half throttle. They will all get flutter.
