Going to something like -4/-1 (with HKS cams) will increase high rpm power and reduce midrange torque a bit compared to the setting you're using now.

It's almost always a tradeoff. You give up a bit of something to get a bit of something else.

I'm thinking the lobe center on the comps is what makes this happen, like Ted was saying, the centers are not the same on the hks vs. comp... changing them on the hks would move the powerband around also, but to what gain?

Edit: Ted's too fast on the keyboard for me lol

Yes, that is the tradeoff.

Well i have a very large turbo so i don't feel much till 4800 rpm. Drivening around town feels like a Ford Fiesta till i hit boost and i carry my power past 9500 lol, Its funny with my E85 sticker in my rear trunk lid how many comments and conversations i get about how im helping save the planet If i only told them about my 2 years of running C-16 Sorry i got off subject there

I ran the comp 280's in my VIII for about a year....great cams w/ great power

had no problems w/ the cams at all, seemed to be manufactured well and held up in my car just fine

We just played with a set on the dyno, and if you want best power out of them, you will need cam gears (exactly as I predicted).

No, the bolt hole is for the cam angle sensor on the end of the exhaust cam. The hole was the proper thread but not quite deep enough. It is about 1/8" from being threaded deep enough

I just put them in like 2-3 weeks ago

If I go with this setting will it throw off my tune?
