well, theyve been made public but trying to get your hands on one has been another story. I call Tial about 3 times a month for several months now wanting them for a 35R and 42R. Theyre saying another month or so, although thats what they said late last year too hehehe

I'll wait though, they look like typical amazing Tial stuff.

wait, what manifold will that work with?? you gotta go custom manifold? Whats the advantage of doing this other than easy on and off with vband? that is the exhaust side correct?? it doesn't make sense to me since I think no manifold is made with a vband flange. the other side looks like compressor side to me.. I would see it would be a better advantage if you did the compressor housing in a vband, but then again using clamps is not too hard to take on and off anyways..

It's not such a big deal that those are V-band; the big deal is that those are stainless steel turbine housings. Similar to the ones used on the TR30 Garrett race turbo that's used on many WRC rally cars and the Audi lemans cars. By the way, the TR30 only weights ~7lbs IIRC.

talked to a tial rep 2 mintues ago.

"only ones we have in stock are the GT28's

the first batch of 35's are spoken for
we have a 30 in a 1.06
and the 42's should be ready in a few weeks"

"1.06 35r is a long ways away, probably september"

"we've had a test car for 2 years running the housing....he got LOTS faster, that is all i can tell you"

not much info unfortunately

yeah but do you have to put some sort of adapter to vband the turbo manifold? I know the exhaust coming out is not problem since t4 comes vband already but how does the turbo attach to a t3 or t4 flanged manifold.. does a company make a vband flanged manifold?

We are in the process of building some new manifolds to work with these housings right now. The goodness should be available in the next few weeks.

i'm sure ATP turbo will make an adapting piece much like they do with the tial 38mm flange > 44mm v-band.

however that would sorta defeat the purpose of having a true v-ban connection right off the manifold. I would eaither get a shop to remove your existing flange and weld on a v-band or buy a manifold already designed to work with these housings.

I had a customer with a 2g make ~720whp with a standard 35r with one of these housings. They work.

Done a few of these setups. The turbine housings are very nice, and they save roughly 6-7 pounds. Made 486awhp on the 30R on stock longblock.

Just did a 35R setup the other day made 407awhp @ 19 psi on 91 octane, 473awhp @ 25 psi on 91 octane, and 539awhp @ 27 psi on 110 thus far.
