I'm not sure about other cams but for HKS and BC, one way to find out is there's a cut on top of the cam head for the exhaust cam sensor. The intake cam shouldn't contains any cut. Take a look at my pics and you'll see it.

Sorry for the venting that give no name but if you're not living in So Cal, the chance that you get screw like me is almost 0. :-)

no offense but to my knowledge all you have to do is look @ the exhaust cam & it has threads for the cam bolt & the intake cam does not have threads for the cam bolt so it should be pretty obvious that you have two exhaust cams right???? atleast i remember my hks's being that way....

How are you not gonna inform people of this so that they don't have the same experience? I don't even see a point in posting personally if your not gonna do something to warn the public...That's just my 2 cents. But glad it's fixed!!

To be honest if your not gonna post about the shop that did this to your car you should've not post at all. It pathetic that you post and not inform the evo community about this incident and put potential future customer cars in danger. That why we have a Review forum so you can add PRO or Cons about at shop whether it local or out of state.

there are three shops in so cal. road race engineering, Tuning technologies, and RNR

RNR is no longer in business and this is easily something they could have done. But come on we all know they would have never fixed it

come on share TT and RRE are great shops.

It could be possible that the company that made those cams accidently sent 2 exhaust cams

No! It's not TT, RRE or even now closed RNR. I think I may have to post the name since a member just told me that there're other have their cams installed by them and maybe in the same situation.

Give it up dog! Some people will be pissed if this happens to them at this shop and it could have been prevented!!!
