Po300 (isolated problem)

I don`t want to set off any alarms nor give false hope to thers with a ix. I have been having this misfire problem for some time now. After making my third trip to the dealership and contacting mitsubishi headquaters, the dealer called me today and said they found the cause of my p0300 problem. They said it was a faulty mass air.Now i am going to pick my car up tomorrow so i will let you guys know if that was the fix.The service manager told me that my old mass threw the code every time he tapped it and their testing equipment could not find the source of the misfire. So,to the guys with this code issue give your dealers a tip of what to check if they are having the same issue ,providing my issue goes away with this new mass air sensor.

One of the local guys here noticed that his issue was compounded by advanced timing, but even going back to a stock map it would set the SES every couple of weeks. Mine is on more or less all the time.

I assumed that the minute the misfires started occuring, the CEL came on? Did you attach an OBDII reader to determine that it was in fact a PO300 code?

Reason I ask is ever since I bought my IX MR, I notice that my idle is a bit rough at times.. similar to a cam lope shudder, or a tiny misfire. No CEL though, and no codes or freeze frame data caught by my scanner...
