Installed Nisei Intercooler Pipe kit + Mini Battery Kit. EVO 9

I just wanted to throw up a post to show some installed pics and impressions of the Nisei Intercooler pipe kit and Mini battery kit. After doing some research I decided on the Nisei Kit due to everyones word on quality, fitment and also the nice price. First up quality. The pipe kit is top notch beautiful welds, great hardware etc. The battery kit is a very nice piece as well, very nice fit and finish. Now fitment is another story. The battery kit was no problem. The Intercooler pipe kit took a little more work to make it work just right. I had to modify a couple of things. I.E. I had to relocate my factory boost solenoid, trimed part of the tab that the factory airbox sits on due to rubbing on the upper IC pipe, also had to add a couple shims (one is provided in the kit) under the airbox to kick it up a tad. It also came to my attention today that one of my lines running to/from the AC compressor is resting on the lower IC pipe (I zip tide it up out of the way) The kit does not come with instructions but if you visit the Nisei site you can follow a nice write up.

On to the driving impression. All I can say is that the turbo spools a lot quicker. Most of the power was gained from the Lower I.C. IMO.

Out of 10 stars I give the kit 8

Sorry I don't have any install pics, also I need to post a pic with the airbox installed.
(My current engine mods are KN drop in, JIC DP, Test pipe, JIC exhaust , no tune yet...) *UPDATE--302 whp/291 lbtq* 06 Evo MR

Looks good from the pics. I have the Nisei LICP on my car and it made a noticeable difference in how the turbo came on boost

weird.. i always thought bigger pipes would spool slower due to more volume the turbo has to fill with air...

but thats my 2c.

nice pipes btw...

I had no problems. What part are you having problems with? The coupler or pipe?

Also the kit came from myevostore.com
