Ok so I had my tilton clutch installed about 400 miles ago. And it is making a horribly loud noise under engagement. I called AMS and they said this is normal with that series clutch. The noise is only under engagement, and makes no noise under driving or accleration. My question is:

Does anyone have the twin organic clutch set? And if so, does it make a horribly loud noise when engaging?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes but WWWAAAYYY louder.

 

its normal. happened a lot when mine was new. also still get it when the clutch heats up and if i don't slip the clutch enough when in stop and go.

 

wow this is the second thread about the noise on the tilton clutch today!! don't worry the sound is normal. when people don't know that my car has a racing clutch they think my car is about to break or something. but it is normal!!!! i personally love the clutch.

 

thats normal, i get the with my exedy every now and then. not so much anymore...

the first couple thousand miles you're going to get a bunch of different wierd sounds.

 

I had put 750 miles on it, and raced a few friends. After I launched it a few times, the noise went away. so its all good. Wierd thouhg. I was quite scared. haha
