HELP!! I think something bad happen to my engine

Tonight I was driving to pick my kids up from my ex. I went to pass a slow driver, my boost only got up to maybe 17psi. I was not getting on it really hard. And I heard a loud noise, sounded like a part falling off my car. I let off the gas immediately. My car then was making a noise that sounded like a bad exhaust leak. I knew something was wrong but I was already 35 miles from home. I continued and picked my kids up and drove home. I feel a slite loss of power and my car sounds like it has a really bad exhaust leak. I poped the hood and it sounds like the noise is coming from the head. Please, I have searched and I could not find anything and I need some help....

Possibly your exhast manifold cracked or the exhaust gasket blew out. check around the manifold where the runners meet the flange, and the turbo bolts to it.

and also check to see if your 02 blew out. Is it throwing a code?

then reply.

I'll have to check it again in the morning, its to dark in my parking lot. But, the check engine light did come on. I did not think to much of the CEL because it usually comes on because I am catless. I don't think it is the gasket between the manifold and hotside. The noise soulds like it is coming from the head, so hopefully it is the gasket between the head and manifold. It is the original gasket and I have had my manifold off alot.

I had that happen alot. The pipe that connects to the throttle body. but your car will not run for **** if it does. and he said he drove it for quite a ways to his house. So I doubt it is the ic pipe. Smoke from the tailpipe can be a few things; Burned a hole in the piston, rings, head gasket. It could be alot of things. But trouble shoot from the easiest to the hardest. Like dafarmer69 said, check the ic piping and the intake tubing and see if a tube fell off. Then you can do a comperssion test and so forth.

Hope for ic or intake piping though.

Well, there is no smoke, I drove my car a total of 60 miles after it happened. It really is not running to ruff. I leaned down and listened to my engine while it was running and it sounds like the noise is coming for the head. I put my hands as close as I could to the manifold and I did not feel anything. Thanks for posting, I just f*cking scared. I don't have the money at the moment for something bad to happen, I am in the process of buying a house.

I've had my IC hose blow off and the car was still drivable, there's levels of "blow offitude" If it's ALL the way off the car will likely not run at all, but if it's only loose and coming off, then it'll be fine.

Maybe its your Ebay parts.
