like a garden hose...on low the water is barely coming out and little leak you turn it up and you still get a lot of water coming out the nozzle but still a big leak...

like...i said before if im boosting 22psi and i have a leak it reads 15 now say im tuned for say...30 psi i dont think it would only read 15psi still...

idk im gonna try a different MBC..

also if there was a small leak at 10psi wouldnt i feel it?the car picks up fast still and no bogging etc and hold 10psi well
hallman is one of the best out there i would get the boost leak test done before you go and change out the MBC. just my 2 cents

Stop reading too deep into this. Just because you crank the **** out of your MBC doesn't mean it's going to do anything extra. 15 PSI is probably just around the point that breaks through the threshold and truely becomes a LEAK.

I would almost be willing to bet that it is your BOV. it's the only thing that makes sense at this point. It's the only part of the intake that you took off, tampered with, and then put back on. Now you've got a problem with your intake path. I'd really look at your BOV a bit closer, instead of just assuming that the sanding and painting didn't do anything to the airtight seal that it provides.

Your friend might be right. Who knows. I gave you info based on what I thought it could be, diagnosing a car with a couple of symptoms and only one variable. It would be very strange to me that your MBC would have just stopped working as soon as you played with your BOV. However, stranger things have happened.

If you do indeed find out that it's your MBC, I have a black Hallman Pro RX sitting here brand new in the box (with both soft and heavy springs) that I could send out to you.

I know alot about cars too. Put a different bov on the car and check. When you punched it it helped remember? Your bov may not be holding boost man so try that. I dont think that you taking your bov off made the MBC fail. It worked fine before you took the bov off. Only thing to do is to CHECK THE BOV.
DO a boost leak down test.

Maybe the spring inside ur MBC has no tension. If there is no tension on that spring you can crank on it til its tight it wont matter cause there is no tension so no boost. That is a quick fix. It happend to me.

I have a feeling it's ur Bov, you should change ur bov to see what happen's. I had

the same problem once... my boost would spike up and then drop and hold @ 15

psi. After I checked everything and made sure all lines and clamps where tight

I was still only holding @ 15psi. Finally I changed the Bov and *WALA* boost was

holding @ 21psi again. So if I was you I would change the Bov out to see what

happen's.

My personal Expeirence is your problem is where you were previously working, I know tials are adjustable So if you played with the screw its out of adjustment, tighten the scre w down on you tial BOV. cound how many threads this way you can put it back. BTW i would trust the hallman Over everything else, its the least likely to fail. But Change it if you must, go with another hallman.

a boost leak test will check your BOV as well as all the other connections in your intake track. trust me, if you've never done one before, you'll probrably have more leaks than just the BOV. you go to home depot, pick up a plumbing coupling that matches the size of your turbo inlet(they're black with clamps on both sides), a PVC cap to fit in one end of that. then drill a hole in the cap and either get a valve that a bike pump will attach to or an air compressor(if using a compressor, i'd get a regulator with a gauge so you don't overboost it), drill a hole in the cap and screw whatever valve you choose in there with teflon paste or tape. then put it on the inlet of the turbo and pressurize with the TB open and feel/listen for leaks.

what else could be wrong with the bov?the line is connected, its on the flange and the clamp is tight..

when i start to give it gas i can hear the leak from bov area...so what could it be...the thing is on there good...
