Redline MT-90, where to use?

hey guys, i bought some Redline MT-90 for my MR tranny. I was told that i could use and should use this on my differential. ive read several threads and looked at a couple of diffrent shops. for example someone suggested to mix 2qts Redline MTL with 1qt Redline MT-90 for the MR tranny and 2qts Redline 75W/90 for front and rear differential. what is actually true? should i use diaqueen as well? thanks ahead of time

Would mixing in some MTL to make it closer to 85w be ok? I want the tranny to warm up a little faster to get rid of notchiness in the mornings.

+1, there is like hundreds of posts debating this....but ultimately, it came down to MANY people using stock diaqueen in t-case and rear, and using something else in the trans....i would say the MT-90, MTL mix is very good

whatever you use.. make sure you DONT use the redline 75-90NS... The ns has much less slip additive... so it will make ur tranny super notchy. The royal purple 75-90 is fantastic in my opinion.

Using RRE's suggestion: BG Synchroshift 2 in the transmission. Redline 75/90 for the transfer case. Redline heavy duty shockproof in the rear diff.

Works perfect for me... Although, I dont beat on my car everyday. Didn't really notice a difference but then again all my fluids were still pretty clean after 30k.

Hi ... a bit off topic
I hope you will forgive me.

Can anyone point me to an online shop that sells Redline products ?

Having a hard time finding one that ships internationally

regards

www.amsperformance.com

We have Lightweight, Heavyweight, and MT-90 all in stock. We also ship international orders on a daily basis, so the guys in sales are very accustomed to shipping orders outside of the U.S.

I am in the process of doing a write-up of Redline fluids. I would explain a little further into detail here, but my keyboard batteries are dying and I have to go very slow to even type this.

for the 5 speed, i run strait MT-90.....but you have the 6speed, which really needs a 75w-85 oil....so.....run two qts of MT-90 and 1 qt of Redline MTL. That would be a great combo.

As for the TC and rear diff.....i run redline heavy shockproof in the TC and Redline 75W-90 in the rear diff. I am thinking about switching to heavy in both the TC and the Rear diff on my next change. We shall see..

i run only diaqueen in the TC and rear and redline fluids made my 6-speed shift like ****! i drained it after a few days. for the last 20-25K miles i've been running mopar NV4500 trans fluid. it's an exact equivilent for the super multi gear at 75-85 GL-4 and is fully synthetic. it's also designed for a tranny that gets very hot(due to cast iron casing)and is subjected to heavy loads(NV4500 is the cummins diesel tranny). it's also designed to aid that trans in cold weather shifting. it's not even really made by mopar though, it's repackaged castrol syntorq LT. castrol doesn't sell this in the states though labeled as a castrol product, it's very popular in europe though. anyway, it's worked great for me and it's what i'd reccommend. it's even a little cheaper than the super multi gear. remember, the service manual states an "exact" equivilent when not using the diqueen super multi gear.

I run half Redline Heavyweight shockproof and Redline MT-90 in my TRE rebuilt 6spd. This is after I ripped teeth off 4th gear because of heat induced stress.

Seems to like it so far.

wow lots of suggestions. hmm, i thinking of sticking with diaqueen for tc and diff. 2 qts mt-90 plus 1 redline mtl for tranny. or do you think it would be better to run 2 qts mtl and 1 qt mt 90
