Your 6spd only hold 2.3 qt so good luck putting in 3.

I'm giving the MTL/90 mix a try as my tranny will come out next month for a rebuild anyway. I normally run OEM fluids.

As for the TC and rear diff.....i run redline heavy shockproof in the TC and Redline 75W-90 in the rear diff. I am thinking about switching to heavy in both the TC and the Rear diff on my next change. We shall see..

This is the exact same combo I run in the Tranny. Great minds think alike.

My Recipe included:

Motor: 5 quarts Redline Full Synthetic 10W30
Tranny: 3 quarts Redline Light Weight Shockproof
Rear Diff: 1 quart Redline Heavy Shockproof w/1.0 ounce of Redline LSD Additive
Transfer Case: 1 quart Redline Heavy Shockproof

The drivetrain feels really smooth and it eliminated a lot of decel noise and other misc drivetrain noise.

You hear of Redline horror stories because people use the wrong fluids in the wrong places. I've used Redline since the day I got my car with no problems. I had my transfer case replaced at 32k but not because of fluid issues.

AMS and Shep recommended Redline to me so that's what I use

I crammed 0.58 qts in the transfer case

I said 1 qt because obviously you can only buy in quarts.

So i live in Texas so it never gets THAT cold and im really tired of the notchy shifting. I just recently changed my transmission fluid to the redline cocktail and dont see that much improvement until i drive it for like an hour and then it gets smooth. I just recently bought the car and when i changed the transmission fluid it seemed as if it hadnt been changed in awhile cause there was quite a build up of the shavings on the plug.(no big metal chunks, just a lot of shavings) so i think im going to change it again and flush the system until most of the metal shavings are flushed out.

My question is, im using the redline cocktail mix right now 2MTL/1 MT90 but im considering changing it to 2 parts MT90 1 part MTL or going straight MT90 since im in texas to possibly eliminate the notchyness. Has anyone done this?
