transmission fluids
Ok guys i know this topic has been beaten to death but most of the threads are older so i want to know what people think now. I have been using redline mt90 in the transmission and redline heavyweight shockproof in the tcase. Ive seen threads where people say they mix the mt90 with something else because the mt90 when cold makes the tranny notchy. When the car is warmed up and start driving still feels sort of notchy. Other than that it shifts fine. Well, i adjusted the clutch according to jacks transmission video where he says to push in slave cylinder and adjust clutch but i feel that made it notchier than before. Do you guys think i should keep using mt90 or use some type of cocktail mix like others are saying here. Jacks transmission website and i think shepherd say to only use diaqueen or mt90 in tranny. I want to know your opinions. Specially those who used the mix and how much whp youre making.
I wanted to second this. I run Diaqueen OEM in my xcase. In my transmission I have tried a few different oils. Castrol, Redline, and Amsoil. The Amsoil has been the best so far. It and the Castrol oil shifted much better than Redline MT90 whilst the car is warming up and shift smooth as butter once the car is at operating temperature.

I also use diaqueen Mitsu OEM fluid for the rear diff and x-case.
