Valves rattle at 2500-3000 RPM only after bleeding
Hello EvoM
Did bleeding my lifters week ago,
Everything is good until 2 days ago
I Noticed a rattle in the valves at 2500-3000RpM only.
Car runs fine but just the rattle in that RPm Range only.
Im running 10w30 from 10w40 this would be too thin oil?

Following!! I have the same issue! After rebuild
my engine for the second time !
I clean my lifters but still the same noises
Between 2k rpms and 3500.
I did the shaft delete and now I have this noise coming
From the head!
Oil pressure seems good to me.

Some more info would be helpful as to why and what was removed exactly.
If you pulled the cams out, verify the caps are torqued to spec. Also if you removed the cam gears, make sure the cam bolts are torqued as well. I've seen these come loose and make a very loud noise in a specified RPM range. Check for little pieces of metal or carbon stuck in the rocker arm oil holes. that oil the lifters. I have seen this happen on several DSMs and the lifters had a lot of metal in them, this usually happens after a spun bearing and the lifters were not replaced during rebuild though.
