How rebuild your blown FP Black yourself.

Hello guys, only want to share with you my fp black rebuild for my Evo 9.

Some weeks ago my turbo blows up. The turbine shaft and compressor wheel dead.

I have the option to ship to FP but for me it's too expensive shipped to my country and bring it back again, so I decide make it myself.

I bought a rebuild kit in Turbo Lab of America (this rebuild kit is for MAP, FP turbos, Blouch BBK and BBK Full Kingawa 25G, Tomica Racing, etc.).

The turbine shaft I bought it in turbo lab too, this is a direct replacement for TD06H turbine wheel used in FP Red, Black, older Green and MAP EF4.

The problem was the compressor wheel, because FP not sell individual parts so I bought in MAP Performance a MAP EF4 billet compressor wheell to swap inmy FP Black.

To made this swap, FP Black need it a machine work in the compressor housing to fit the EF4 compressor wheel.

After the respective balance to the turbo, this work fine and feels like new.

Yes thats true. The EF4 compressor wheel is bigger than FP Black compressor wheell But just a little bit.

Map ef4 CW is 60.27mm / 83mm
FP black CW is 59.1MM / 82MM

Right now, I dont know is the turbo spool better or what.... I will know on next days...

Serious question. Why would FP not rebuild your old black? Is this new, or am I missing something?

Sorry I wrote bad that part. Yes fp can repair my turbo but I need ship to them. I'm not from USA so for me it's very difficult pay the shipment and bring it back to my country. For that I go with this rout in my turbo.

Hey thanx. I will see the air/fuel mix.

Maybe we will need to make some adjust in the map, I dont know if this turbo generate more air than the fp black. I think its the same. I will let you know.

In parts I spent around $350 plus shipping to my country $400 in total.

With the machine work and handle of my mechanic no more than $200.

I think not more than $600.
