would it make sence to hold your wastegate closed with just a basic spring you can buy at any hardware store. I mention this because my buddy ended up doing it with his wrx and he claims it holds boost way better on the top end. Plus its only about 2.00$. If this is a god awfull idea let me no.. thanks

 

I am pretty sure this is just a common WRX mod. I dont think our 16g needs that extra holding power that the smaller WRX turbo and wastegate.

 

I would recommend getting a Forge or FP wastegate with the stiff spring instead of trying to rig something....IMHO that will give you better results, but you can always try and report back...
