I just talked with FP this week...

If you send in an EVO IX turbo (10.5 HS) to be rebuilt into an EVO Green it costs $995.

If you send in an EVO VIII Turbo (9.8 HS) to be rebuilt into an EVO Green it costs $995, plus $245 for the 10.5 HS.

I'm considering an EVO "lite" Green with a 9.8 HS for $245 less. I'm not sure a 10.5 HS will give 25% more power than a 9.8. And, I'm actually more interested in low and mid-range power anyway. FP says they have built a few 9.8 Greens and said it should spool up earlier and faster, but would obviously give up some power at the top-end. I asked about this in another thread and the feedback was that it might have surging issues.

Anyone have any comments on the idea of a EVO Green with 9.8 HS?

not sure about the stock housing, but as far as I know they no longer do the exchanges as nobody sent in their cores.

I dont blame them, I just wish they reduced the price of the green...

Thats crap....guess I better find a used VIII or IX stock turbo to buy since people can't honor deals...Can't afford to be without the car for an unspecified period. If I knew they could do it in like a week I could do it.
