I would suggest a triple plate Exedy or Carbonetic twin. I was just a tad over 500 ft/lbs on my Cusco/Exedy Twin and it was slipping. Since we now have a new fuel system and triple plate Exedy we will now attempt the 600-650 wheel hp mark.

I think Exedy would be a better choice. There have been a couple of posts of other Evo owners' using the Carbonetics, and they emit some really bad chatter. Besides, I hadn't heard of Carbonetics until recently. Exedy on the other hand has been around for years.
Carbonetics has been around for a long time as well, there company is actually called ATS. They are used a lot in JGTC cars. I love my carbonetics, but I will definatly say its not for the weak, it has quite hard pedal feel, and engagement in first gear, due to such a light flywheel, two disks, and a hard pedal with a lot of clamping load, is pretty damn harsh. However, when launching it, it grips and dosent let go, it absoloutly LOVES being used to row through the gears, and overall I just love the clutch. However, if I had another chance, I would have waited till later on in my mods to get it, and yes the chatter is LOUD on the highway. Other than the chatter which sets of CEL's, and the harsh engagement when DDing the car, its an awsome clutch.

Triple carbonetic will hold up better to the abuse you tend to give your clutches and can handle some serious power. Higher temperature capacity make it a better choice than most for drag and hard street use. Plus it lasts a LONG time.

Imo, a clutch is one of those things you should do right the first time, if you have plans for serious power in the future, spend the extra $ now and buy something that will hold up. If you plan on keeping it close to stock then yeah I'd go with the ACT. If not you should really consider ATS / Carbonetics.
Good luck!
