any idea on hp estimate?

just sold my oz and got an rs.

was wondering if anyone had an estimate on the hp out of a modified evo if it only had an AMS 2.3L stroker kit, AMS head, and also typhoon intake and full turbo back exhaust??

i know alot of people do basic flashes to run 22lbs of boost. with a 2.3l stroker kit from ams would it be able to handle a little more boost without risking losing the motor?

kinda new to 4g63, i know honda motors alot better

anyways.. how hp should an ams stroke kit with ams ported head get me?

first and foremost , GET RID OF THAT INTAKE!!! it will kill your tune.

secondly, just a 2.3? is it tuned? is the head ported and any cams? list all the mods then we can guesstimate

agreed. Why would you buy a new 9 if you are only going to throw in a 2.3? I would see exactly what AMS or Buschur suggests and go from there...

ok lets think this through. you want an evo so that you can basically destroy your warranty right off the bat. how about you save your self the 30 grand of buying a new one since you're going to throw those brand new internals out the door and just buy a used one for 20-22 grand, then send it to ams with 14k and make it exactly what you want, right then and there. everything will be new and fully built so whats the difference?

ok well. what should i be doing with it then? if everyone thinks a stroker kit would just be pointless. .. most hp for the money, without risking a blowup
