19lbs boost... no pulling like it should?

Ok, so the It looks to me like the car is not pulling like it should, or it could be just me, but it feels slower. So Im running almost 20 lbs no tapering, it holds boost... However, when I hit on it i hear the turbo spool and everything, but the car doesnt pull as hard...It feels like the turbo and everything else is there just for show and noise, but no performance.. I thought that there might be some kinda of hose or anything that needs to be tightened, but everything seems in place.. The car is stock, all i have done to it is Forge boost controller,K&n drop in filter, boost gauge and TURBOSMART Bov. What do you guys think?

BOV leak? What kinda boost gauge? It might be off and you may be pushing like 22psi which would make you run slower because the timing map is different for that load.

i Just broke 50K miles... The boost gauge is AUTOMETER ultralight. I think it should pull alot more harder then it is with 20lbs....

stock evos are indead very slow and dont pull much.
sotck 2003's barely trap a little over 100mph in the 1/4 so you really sound now feel much of a pull.
i tink you got to trap at least 110mph is the 1/4 to really feel anykind of pull from the car.

aslong as your boosting 19psi which means your probably do not have a boost leak you are fine. just start moding so you make some real power

Try to do a boost leak test to see if you have a boost leak.

Oh yeah, that boost gauge is crap too...get an electric one and see what your boost really is. Trust me Ive seen a couple that have been off by 2-3psi and one was off by 6psi!!!

the warmer weather will make the evo feel slower
it could also be time for you to add a couple more mods

that gauge is crap. also that's why you think you old 20psi till redline especially for an evo 8.

i didnt think anyone else would say this but why do ppl think they can hold constant boost till redline on a stock turbo for example say if your pushing 20psi your not going to hold that till redline unless the EVO gods did something to your turbo or motor that we dont no about i push 23psi and drops to 18psi at redline

Could also be the clutch. Mine is going, and when it "grabs," it feels slower now. Probably cause its slipping, just not noticable enough to see it in the rpms.

edit:
Whats a decent way to check gauge accuracy? Ive got a homemade boost leak tester. And I assume I can hook a tire pressure gauge up to it. Should the pressure at the turbo inlet be the same as the manifold, if there are no leaks? Would that be a decent test for the gauge. Ive also got Autometer gauges.
