whats ur spool up like on a gt3065
im looking for a new kit. i like the 50trim kits but i want a bit more then what they have to offer. but i dont want to wait and deal with lag. i know about the 20gLT and all and its not really for me. i want something with more topend but not to laggy.
with a 50trim/OR/3065
here are my guestions.
on 93 pump gas 23 psi what rpm will i reach that ??
on 93+100%meth 29+psi what rpm will i reach that ??
how streetable is a 3065/50trim turbo kit??
on 93 pump 23 psi what is the average HP made
on 93+100%meth what is the average HP made.
dose a BB3065/50trim make better spool up then a NBB and buy how much about???
when will the 3065/50trim start to fall off?? meaning im reving my motor to 7600rpm's. will it still be making power there or will it begin to fall off??? side note. in the long run im building my block so i will be reving to 8200rpm's when its done. but 1 thing at a time.
im new to the turbo game so im nervice in picking a kit i will like. i dont want lag but i understand the bigger i go the more lag i will have. so im trying to keep it close to like stock. right now its eather a 50trim or the next size up which i think is a gt3065. or at least the next one up worth doing.
i have seach'd for days but i really dont find solid info and what not. guys thanks for the help and helping me pick the kit thats best for me.

well i dont own one. but the shop i worked with always delt with them. I personally like 60-1 and 50 trims but after i owned my srt4 and that sucker spooled everything up so quicky (2.4l) big block for a 4 cyl. lol I really didnt like 60's and even 50's. But a gt30 is nice but once i get my evo and down the road i plan to change the stock turbo for something i'd just go with the gt35. U'll never have to look for another streetable turbo again of a FP Green. which is pretty much the same. But if u want fully streetable i know on DSMs gt30 make power by 3500 and gt35 4200, 60-1 4600-4800 and 50's by 3800. Im sorry i couldnt help anymore.
but the 50 trim i believe will spoll up about 400 rpms sooner than a 3065 and make a little more power than a 3065 on 93....but on race gas and 30psi its a different story, the 3065 will spank the 50 trim by about 40hp....my 3065 never falls off and thats up to 8 grand, it just keeps building power

that was 23psi....everyone talks so heavily about the lag but i really dont think its bad at all, i got the 3065 over the 35r cuz i thought i would save in lag but the lag isn't as bad as you would think
I'm in love with teh 50 trims and what they can do, they make an awesome amount of power with supporting mods. the gt30 (i had a fr4iend with one) he wasn't all that impressed. I'm not 100% sure which was faster spool but it was like a 400-500 rpm differnece..He ended up just getting a 35r though...lol

That doesn't seem like much power even on Buschur's dyno with that turbo. How much are people making with Meth. and the 3065? My friend made 385whp with a green turbo and meth. on Buschur's dyno.

that is comparitable to about 410-420 whp, and its only 93oct and 22psi....with meth or race gas the 3065 is hitting 500....i mean check out j-rod's car

The key with the 3065 is you'll need to run 25 + psi to really enjoy it, but at that point, you won't care about lag
. If you're not going to run meth, go with the 50 Trim.

personally i run a 35r with a .70 intake and a .63 exhuast and holy **** does it spool. you gotta understand with these big turbos, even though your making 17 psi @ 4000 its cooking once you get to 25psi @ 4500, i get scared go around backrounds!
