just wondering if this is normal after DP install

hi, well i just finished installing my DC sports downpipe/cat delete combo. everything went well, fitment is good, no rattles. question is will installing a downpipe lower your boost levels? this is running an MBC. i know when i put a downpipe on before running the stock BCS, it increased the boost. that's why with an MBC, i'm asking if it's normal to lower the boost, i figured it would increase like with the BCS. there was no cat in any of the situations posted above, just the addition of the downpipe. thanks.

If you have a MBC, why don't you set the level of boost that you want.

how much psi did you lose? what downpipe/cat did you have before? your boost should increase not decrease when you put a downpipe/cat delete on if you are running the stock bcs or a mbc

you do not need to lower the boost using the mbc... did you have the mbc on the stock dp too... or did u install it after teh dp install... just set it at what u want and that's it...

the only change(like i said in the first post)was the downpipe, already had cat-delete. i lost about 2psi. i remember when i had a downpipe before with the stock boost control, the boost went up, that's whay i'm asking if it should do the same with an mbc. i know how to use a boost controller and turn it up to where it was, i'm not a newb. the question was should the boost have dropped with it set at the same place as before the downpipe install? then again, now that i think about it, maybe since yesterday was the 1st day into the 80's up here, that could've caused my loss in boost.

Hondafan-I notice that when the temperature outside drops(significantly), my boost actually goes up, beyond what I would like.

yeah, that's why i was saying maybe it's just related to the weather warming up significantly here the last couple days and not the downpipe at all.
