Again, your killing me SMALLS............... Try running 25+ psi on 91, see what happens !

Since you have "alot" of money to spend you should bring the car to a premier shop....cough....Bushcur....cough....or ship it their and let them build it and pick it up in a month.

Why try to piece this and guess that when the premier shops do this every single day proven combos that push well over 600whp if you want it. You will also have much better customer service if you go to one shop to do the whole build instead of piece mealing your 600hp car together.

Good luck...if your not a drag junkie and won't be pushing for every last tenth or holding 4th to 140mph + I would suggest a stroker the difference is very noticable off boost and you won't be shifting past 8k on the street anyway.

I didn't know ETS offered a 35r anymore? Is that the 61trim kit?

I only see a 61-trim, and 67-trim...

This is a semi-long term plan (6-7 months), call me a "newb" for asking about the gains of a manifold that I've seen for the first time lol, as for my budget... I don't see shipping it out of state, I know a few people that can build a stroker and solid top end for me for a good price. Only thing I don't have atm is a good AEM tuner in socal... guess I should start looking.

You'd be surprised how much further 90% of people (probably higher percentage actually) are when they just ship their cars out to have them built all at once, the right way with a good shop to stand behind the work.

I'd say over 75% of the cars that come to our shop are from out of state.

Sorry off topic.

We run the HKS Kansai intake on our black EVO that ran 8.95 at 164. You will have to either not have ABS or relocate the ABS controller to fit that intake on your car.

I don't know what your power goals are, sounds like 600 range. If that is the case you could port the stock intake manifold and add our 65 mm throttle body and be done. My car made 643, my brothers 645, 4-5 other EVO's just finished in the last 2 weeks have made 560+ whp, all of these numbers on our LOW reading Mustang Dyno and all with the stock ported intake/65mm tb.

Just to share - HKS kansai plenum does wonders from mid to high rpms. however, at low end it seems to be tad bit lazy.

Currently i'm running on full apex'i rx6 turbo kit with stock internals, full fuel system & intake / exhaust upgrade. EMS is f-con v-pro ver3.2 with MAP.

I reckon the HKS kansai plenum should work better with strokers & 272cams. Next month HKS new Valcon 272 for MIVEC will hit shores and i'll try to match it up with my plenum setups. My shipment of tomei stroker 2.3kit will arrive in several weeks time and it should wrap it all up.

In a nutshell, I do feel to install HKS-Kansai plenum on stock engine / turbo setup will overkill.

will keep posted on my humble upgrade.

RRE has been building strong engines, 2.0 or strokers, for about as long as anyone in the business, and they're close to you if you're in SoCal.

As far as AEM tuners in socal, perhaps you've heard of Scot Grey, who is one of the best in the country. If you've not, call RRE and they'll put you in touch with him, or do a little reading on SoCal Evo.
