Suspension wouldn't hurt, either!
Have you know, the coilovers are sitting in the trunk! Also, robert builds kits his way... Have fun trying to tell him what to do cuz he is about custom and obviously your head is not there.

Comn.. You said 720whp.

That was why I originally had posted in the other thread. I was skeptical about how you were going to achieve that. You assured me to, "wait and see"

Now, I realize without a standalone, that number is impossible. So I'm not expecting to actualy see it. Even with a standalone, I would be shocked to see 720whp out of this setup. I'm not going to make fun of you for it, I know you were hyped up about everything, and yes the turbo itself is capable of 720whp, but everything else is going to hold that number back.

I'm sure it was said in haste, and that's fine, but I do remember that 720whp number very clearly.

It's not a big deal, I'm just bustin your chops a bit.

720whp out of a stock ECU is doable but nobody wants to go through the hassle..

Smoggie could through a huge shot on his car and break that I am sure. People running the big "GM" maf's or the maf translator do dad could also do it.

The stock MAF is the restriction AFAIK not the ecu.

I don't agree with the 'runners too long' statement. Should be fairly well 'tuned'. Yes, there will be some greater heat loss though. Heck, ceramic coat, build a heat shield, wrap them, etc.

I really liked how your car looked, especially with the powdercoated wheels. I saw your car there when I was having my fenders rolled. I had the Silver MR.

I love Robert's work... on Subarus. I saw what he was doing with yours, and I know I would never have that done to mine. I didn't like the design, or how he routed everything.

If I'm shelling out the money, you bet I'm having it done my way. I've known Robert for quite some time, and actually sourced my 2.5L Suby motor from him for my 03 WRX.

Was the turbo too big to fit between the motor and the radiator, or what was the reason to run the piping back and forth across the motor 3 times?

no it wasn't too big, there are plenty of people running 37r's in front of the rad. he just wanted to be unique and different.

myself, i would rather rock a top mount kit.
regardless it'll be interesting

You must be refering to one of the other cars that came out of that shop that I had mentioned... I never said this kit would make that but did mention big numbers that have been made from other cars that lef that shop

Peculiar setup. The power and spool we see from it really will not tell us much since the turbo is different that any variation we usually see. If it had a standard 35R on there like AMS, Buschur and such then we could use averages to determine if the long manifold is hurting/helping

Not that peculiar.... I've seen similar setups on Nissans and S2000s. It'll be interesting to see how well tuned the runner lengths are.... It is different from the other setups I've seen in that it's using a divided housing, so the runners are paired instead of all 4 merging. Not sure how that will affect the acoustics/tuning of the runner length.

Regardless, it should make good power as long as they feed the turbo some cool air

Peculiar was a bad choice of wording on my part. Uncommon is what I should have said. Either way, I am interested to see how things come out.

I should clarify, more or less I'm concerned with the amount of weight the manifold is supporting, especially with the way they are routed.

I'm not going to argue, as I dont particularly care, but you did say; "It will spool like a 35r and make 720whp" Refering to your setup.
