Tomei 270 Procams and Supertech valve springs

Installed 270 Procams on a 05 Evo with Crower valve springs, but now I'm getting valve float at around 6K rpm. So are the supertech single valve spring stiffer so that the valve float goes away?

I did a search and couldn't find anyone with the Tomei's and supertech setup to see is it works. If anyone has this setup please let me know if it works for you.

I've already checked the resistance on the coil pack and the plug wires and they are within spec. Changed the sparkplugs and gapped the new ones at .026 just in case the spark was blowing out. Cleaned the MAF sensor and still I have the same problem. So the valve spring is the only thing left.

Thanks

Is the lift 11.5? If so you will need a dual spring setup. Supertech sells one. I had 280 procams and had this problem with single springs.I changed mine in the car. You will need new valve seals because you will have to pull off the old seals to put in the new dual spring seats.

Another option with Tomei cams are Tomei springs, i'm using them with 280 solid, 11.8 mm lift, without problems.

well, it looks like dual valve springs are the way to go, from what I'm hearing. Thanks for all the info and help.
