500hp and Single Clutch Kits

Hey guys who is running a gt35r or gt37r making more the 500hp and using a single clutch. I was wondering because twin clutch kits are expensive as hell and if there is a single clutch kit that can handle that kind of power rather get that.

What about the ACT Extreme Duty Street Disc Clutch. The TQ rating is 567 ft/lbs. Has anyone used this before? Is it streetable as i am looking for a clutch that is streetable since the evo IX will be my daily driver.

Off topic but could i get away with resurfacing the stock flywheel or would i have to get a new one? Also would you guys recommend staying with the stock flywheel or upgrading to an ACT Streelite Flywheel.

i am using the ACT single and cant wait to upgrade to an exedy twin or something like that. Too much power for a single cluch IMO. If you are goin to updgrade to a lighter flywheel, just stay away from aluminum... my 2c.

Is your clutch slipping with your power output or is it still holding. How is the driveability with the dyno flash. I cant afford an AEM so im gonna go with a sean ivey tune then get an AEM when i need to build the engine.

A clutch that lasts twice is long but costs twice is much ends up costing less. Think about that.

Making power is the easy part. Keeping things together is the challenge. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I've run the ACT Extreme Duty Street Disc Clutch for over 40k miles with my 35r then 37r. I have not had any issues with the clutch... You should be fine. Honestly, I ran the 35r with my stock clutch for about 20k miles. It never slipped. I only changed since I was rebuilding the bottom end and it made sence to do it.

Tons of runs? How many is that, and what kinda times and 60's are you pulling? I killed my ACT with "tons of runs" and only 300-330wtq cutting 1.6 60's.
