buschur fmic failure

I started a thread yesterday about my a/f dipping into 10r lower thought it was a boost leak while my car was at PRUVEN . Anyway John performed a boost leak test and the fmic was leaking big time .CAlled up BUSCHUR and NIck said he'd take care of it . THE only thing was that i have to pay for a new fmic have it shipped to me then return the inoperable one for them to evaluate then reimburse me ..
what do yall think?

sounds reasonable. they're straight shooters and will refund you in full if the cause was a result of materials or workmanship (bad weld or bad core).

I doubt Buschur would have the reputation they do, if they were not all about customer service. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Wow my ebay FMIC doesn't even leak! I would be pissed if I spent $600+ for a FMIC and have one of the welds be all crappy. =)

Well then that just sucks then, that is not Buschur's fault (since they use Garrett cores). Sounds like they handled the situation very professionally, and you were a victim of chance..

Sounds fair to me. If manufacturers/vendors just sent out replacement parts without first inspecting them before fixing or replacing the part (if it is a manufacturing defect) they'd go broke.

I don't have any Buschur stuff, but they would not be one of the most highly recommended tuners if their customer service was up shyte creek.
They are just covering their own a$$es at the end of the day.

You'll be fine. Buy a new one, send the old one back and everything else will
sort itself out.
