I have an IX MR and I happen to have a Perrin test pipe for the Evo VIII/IX. I was wondering:

A) If the Perrin test pipe will fit between my stock down pipe and exhaust?
B) If this would work, would this improve performance or just mess everything up?

Thanks, and sorry ahead of time if this doesn't make sense.
I installed the test pipe today and I could feel a pretty huge difference right away, and it sounds a bit better too.

Question Question?

Just a little update...

There is no bung in the Perrin test pipe, and I didn't drill one, so my O2 sensor was left unplugged. My CEL came on after about 6 miles of driving without the 02 sensor. Yesterday I disconnected my battery so I could install a Greddy TT, and after driving for about 25 miles I suddenly noticed something different about my gauge cluster: NO CEL :-)

Is this normal? Has the computer reset and the O2 sensor "come to terms" with my new setup (not using the O2 sensor)?

bump from the super dead. So your ix ran fine with the rear o2 sensor zip tied up out of the way since the perrin test pipe had no o2 bung? Is this safe and ok?
