If on your original tune you had the boost leak, then that tune is way off. You said that Billet Design just reloaded that same flash, right? IF this is the case, then you just need a new flash. When a car gets a boost leak, it runs rich. You were flashed with a boost leak, so they had to lean you way out. Now that the leak is fixed, you don't need leaned out that much. Get what I'm saying?

let me clarify a few things.... the car was originally tuned by Marco@BilletDesign. This was prior to the intercooler/clutch/flywheel/AEM wideband install. All other mods were done at billet. The car suffered a tranny failure that led me to pulling the mods in my garage and getting fixed @ mitsu. I then installed the old mods plus the mods up top. I took the car to the dyno @ japtrix and they convinced me to let them tune the car b/c it was down on power for the mods i had. the boost leak got really bad 2 weeks later. the Greddy fmic setup was leaking at the flange that bolts to the turbo(my fault). After i got the boost leak fixed the Japtrix flash was really lean... I had a situation with one of the tuners and was told they were not going to fix the maps. My only choice was to re-load the Billet Design map (Pre Greddy FMIC/Boost Leak). When i loaded this map... i dove the car with the AEM wideband for the first time on this map and it too was on the lean side.. (high 11 low 12). I called Billet..but most of us who deal with Billet knows how that goes. Mom takes a message and no one calls back till you post their name on EvoM. After doing some research and looking at Marco's tune I realized a few things. The map is in fact lean. It looks like a tune meant for a car running meth. The timing i havent quite learned yet...so i cant comment on wether its aggressive or not. I had this car tuned twice @ Billet. The second time was after going to the Dyno and seeing a large dip in power (a unhappy car pulling timing). I finally found Marco's solution to the car pulling timing. The Knock settings were adjusted. Nice. When Marco tuned the car on both occasions it was done on the road and with no wideband.
the ECU only uses info from the narrowband primary o2s for closed loop feedback. Fuel trims are only for closed loop. Zeroing out fuel trims will not help open loop fuel delievery.
You are most likely running in untuned areas of your maps.
If you have any questions, let me know.

so...this is what my car is supposed to run like....this is how hard my car is supposed to pull.... 4 Wheel Slide has re-new'd my faith in my Evo I took my car down south and in about 45 min to an hours time he had my Greddy EBC and my Flash dialed in. He also showed my how to shift a bit faster. Im curious to see how the car does on the Dyno. I'll post pics of the different dyno data as soon as i get a chance. Thanks again 4 Wheel Slide

Cool you got it fixed, surprised nobody mentioned a boost leak happens after the MAF. So when you fixed the leak, the MAF reading wouldn't have changed - so no more fuel would be given, but the engine would see more air - and run leaner..

i have not gone to the dyno yet... i havent really had the time... being that i wont go to thee dyno thats local to me (japtrix). I have to do a bit of traveling down south... I was very surprised with how different the maps were between Billets botched map/japtrix lean map and 4 wheel slides map. Japtrix had to lean the car out quite bit to get it to run 11.0 afr. that only gave me 312hp (with the knock sensors adjusted to give false readings...thanks marco). The car does pull very strong now...much stronger than b4. It feels like it never falls out of the powerband. It even comes out of the hole alot harder... 2 step set to 5800 rpm and leaves at 13lbs.
